Summer School, Department of Special Education 2010

The Special Education Department is offering a two-week Summer Program for gifted children from KG to grade 12. (Download Schedule) The Summer Program will combine academics and enrichment. The focus for the program will be to prepare students for the curriculum and expectations for the following school year, as well as enhancing their social skills, abstract thinking skills, fine- and gross-motor skills, cooking skills, sensory integration skills, and health awareness in a fun way. Youth For Understanding Excahnge Program

The Youth For Understanding student exchange program is offering our students the opportunity to study abroad for 1 academic year.
Representatives from YFU will be available at school on Sunday, March 7th to meet with interested students and collect application forms.

ASSIGNMENTS DEADLINE AND GRADING

Dear Parents,
As you are aware students were given assignments to complete during the school closure period as alternatives to Quarter One exams. Kindly be informed that students who did not meet deadlines will have grades deducted and students who did not hand in work will not receive grades. The December 6th deadline will be until 9:00pm on email. Work handed in on December 7th will be capped at 80%.
